Lone bird perched on the buoys that stayed on for several hours throughout the day. The look of the bird is distinctive in its non-breeding plumage sans the long tail. Long toes visible too.
Habitat/behaviour
It remained on the buoy for the rest of the day after it was first seen and photographed by phone flying across the water by another person.
Viewing conditions
Mostly cloudy the entire time.
Observer's experience
Have seen the bird at least once in Singapore in MED, and several times in Sri Lanka and Cambodia.
Observer's experience w/similar species
Same as above. Unlikely to confuse this bird with other Jacanas.
