Identification |

Noticed the silhouette of a small raptor perched on the edge of roof. Physical features and colour matched that of Common Kestrel. It was perched, observed it for 10mins before it flew off in the direction of Southern Ridges. The rufous upper parts ruled out Peregrine, Amur and the other falcons. The black toenails ruled out Lesser Kestrel. |
