Identification |
---|
Heard the high-pitched constant zitting call not too far from the trail in the forest. Unable to locate the bird and proceeded to record the call. |
Habitat/behaviour |
---|
Bird was not seen but the call remained for at least 5 minutes in the forest. |
Viewing conditions |
---|
Poor viewing conditions as the forest was dimly-lit in the undergrowth. |
Observer's experience |
---|
Have heard it a couple of times in Singapore. However, a record of the call is a must as it cannot be distinguished safely out in the field by relying solely on its appearance. |
Observer's experience w/similar species |
---|
Have recorded the Pale-legged once in Singapore. Sounded and appears nearly the same as this Sakhalin. |
