I was walking back to Puaka Bridge after walking along Jalan Wat Siam. When I was almost at the bridge, I saw a pigeon flying away towards the trees in front of living lab. The bird was likely perched on the trees to the right and just before the bridge in the direction I was approaching. As I was at the bridge already and the bird was not that far away from me, I saw clearly the cinnamon head of a male cinnamon headed green pigeon. It was unmistakable comparing to pink necked green pigeons that I had been seeing up till then. To be honest, I did not notice the maroon coloured wings during the few seconds I saw the bird but the colour of the head was very clearly seen. There was no time to take a picture but Ah Heng managed to photograph the bird from the bridge on 9 Jun 2024 flying in the same direction. |
