Identification |
---|
Possibly 2. Small bird very high in a fruiting fig tree closest to the path down from the Wallace Centre. Drab grey, with obviously streaking on the sides of the belly and moustachal stripes.. Unfortunately no photo on that day. Refound 14/12/24 and confirmed with photo by CN Lee and Rogier Niessen. |
Habitat/behaviour |
---|
Seen alongside a group of warblers, starlings, thrushes and fly catchers. Feeding in a large fruiting fig tree. The bird in question was very active and fast moving. Every time it landed it flicked its tail side to side very rapidly |
Viewing conditions |
---|
Good. Clear weather, high up, but seen well through good quality 10x42 bins. |
