Large calidris with longish, broad-based and slightly downward-tapering black bill, indistinct supercilium, short legs, grey upperparts, white underparts and blackish mottling on flanks. |

Feeding on the mudflats in loose association with Tibetan Sand Plovers. A group of NParks people doing a shorebird survey walked right past the knot and neither party seemed to notice the other’s presence for quite a while 🙃 |

Cloudy so light was not harsh, bird was on one of the further sandbanks. Found and photographed through a scope. |
