Identification
---
Oliver first saw the bird and asked if it’s smaller compared to Wood Sandpiper. I had a a look and ID as Long-toed Stint based on size, stint-like with short bill, yellowish leg (took a while to see as it’s covered with mud), upper part broad fringed white pattern, streaked breast with white bellied. Does not have strong rufous crown. Most other stint have black legs or grey upper parts (non-breeding).

Observer's experience

Have seen it in paddy fields of Malaysia and Indonesia. Also saw in the fields beside Kranji Marshes (NTHL)
Observer's experience w/similar species
---
Have not seen Sharp tailed Sandpiper nor Pectoral Sandpiper but I know they are larger sandpiper compared to Stint and at least about side of Wood sandpiper.
