Descriptions
Identification
When the bird first fly to the side of the tree, I had a quick look at it thru the bino before it moved into the tree. I note it’s a female sunbird, with orange throat which is quite unique to this species, I quickly tried to take some very blocked shots to confirm the ID, and calling out the rest. Tony managed to locate the bird again and all observers had good views and photos.
Habitat/behaviour
Foraging in a fig tree
Viewing conditions
The bird was in a tree across the boardwalk, moving in the tree with many thin branches.
Observer's experience
Have seen it at Sungei Buloh and Chek Jawa
Observer's experience w/similar species
Have seen most other sunbird in Singapore.
