No descriptions in SINAV 1:10. Although Boobooks seen during the migratory season in "unexpected" sites are possibly Northern Boobooks, birds with heart spotted plumages have also been recorded at sites away from the Central Catchment during the migratory season. Much is unknown about the migratory behaviours of the northern populations of Brown Hawk-owl and while there is a high chance it might have been a Northern Boobook, given the lack of plumage descriptions we do not accept this record. |
