No descriptions in SINAV 13:1 nor OBC 30. The original rare bird reports have been digitised. The bird was originally found on 28 February 1999 by Richard Ollington, seen by Subaraj Rajathurai, EHa (name not listed) and S. Wing at Sungei Seledar Dam (either the same site with a different name, or otherwise a site extremely close to this record) and reported in OBC 30. This particular 28 February record is rejected by Lim (2009), that states instead that the bird was only seen on 1-2 March. Wang & Hails (2007) incorrectly lists the year for the 28 February record as 1998, also treats it as a separate sighting and rejects it. We here adopt 28 February as the first date for this record. |
