Wang & Hails (2007) cites Davison (1891) regarding this record but no such document is available in the reference list. Lim (2009) later also includes this same record, stating that "Davison (1891) collected two birds on the Singapore Race Course on 13 May 1891 which were sent to RMBR but overlooked by Gibson-Hill and other authors (Wang & Hails 2007)". (RMBR is the old name for LKCNHM). Lim (2009) likewise does not provide any reference called Davison (1891). It is highly puzzling as Wang & Hails (2007) does not list any specimen from the museum; it is unclear where information of the supposedly overlooked specimens in Lim (2009) came from. |
