Background |
---|
This record of a Besra is accepted on eBird as of 7 January 2024. The photograph from 23 January shows a Crested Goshawk. The second record on 27 January is by the same observer with no photo, and the eBird comment being "Still present".
The bird, carrying what looks to be a headless Aedoramus swiftlet (which will be at least 8cm assuming it is the smaller Edible-nest Swiftlet), looks bigger than what would be expected from a female Besra. Crested Goshawk: 40-46 cm, Besra: 26-32 cm |
