Three birds seen and photographed. This sighting has is not listed in any literature, but descriptions are available in the YahooGroup Archives 2005, where an observer (Ping Ling) describes that "Features of the Black-headed Gulls noted were their prominent ear patch & dark eyes. They were of a size with the Lesser Crested Terns though slightly bulkier". The birds were observed by multiple observers and photographs are available online. Wang & Hails (2007) cites T. L.
