Up to four birds reported from 4 January to 16 March. The birds were reportedly photographed and videographed by many (see link - Other). No descriptions are available in SINAV 15:1, OBC 33, OBC 34 and the original rare bird report is unavailable as well. Note that the last date in Lim (2009) is listed as 18 February 2001, while that in Wang & Hails (2007) is listed as 16 March 2001. The bird was originally discovered by Subaraj Rajathurai and Richard Ollington. The March record was at Simei by the former discoverer with a pair reported. |
