From the eBird checklist: "Saw the bird very clearly on a trail leading from the bike road to ponds (mangrove restoration). Dark head, upper body, wings, white cheeks and belly. Flycatcher-like behavior: sitting on a branch, then rapidly flying up, making a circle, coming back. On a first glance reminds of the Eastern Kingbirds and Black Phoebes. Looks extremely similar to this one and does not look like other flycatchers for this region". Description is not satisfactory, however this species has been sighted (with photographs and/or reliable descriptions) regularly at the same site in 2018/2019, giving credence to this record. |
