Background |

No sound recording. Prior to the Pale-legged/Sakhalin Leaf Warbler split, all sightings from this sister complex were identified as Pale-legged due to the lack of information. Increased awareness since ~2014 has led to the consensus that the default in Singapore is the Sakhalin Leaf Warbler. However, this sister complex cannot be identified without vocalisations (identification, even in hand, is a challenge). As of September 2021 there are no confirmed records of the Pale-legged Leaf Warbler. We treat all sightings with no sound recordings as unidentifiable to species level, although they are most likely to be Sakhalin Leaf Warblers. |
