The bird was of the nominate black-billed subspecies. However it had unsually poor conditions - chipped upper mandible, unnatural tail moult in central and outer rectrices. Although discovered in a season with plenty of oddities (see Sin et al 2020 in links) we are taking a conservative stance here that the provenance of the individual is unclear. |
